All of us must ask the question, “What can I do that no one else can do?” The church can take on many projects. It can travel down many roads and accomplish many worthy things. The question is, however, “What can the church do that no other institution in the world can do?” The answer to this question lies in First Baptist Oviedo’s vision statement:
“Sharing the love of Christ by reaching, teaching, serving and sending people throughout the world so that the sun will never set on the ministry of First Baptist Oviedo.”
At First Baptist Oviedo, our goal is to:
• REACH as many people as possible with the message of the cross of Christ
• TEACH believers to live a cross-centered life so that they will inspire and lead younger generations to walk in like manner.
• SERVE in a ministry in the church and in a mission point in our community.
• SEND cross-centered believers into the world to serve others and share the message of the cross throughout the world.
That’s it! That’s what we do. We want to encourage you to join us on this journey, reaching, teaching, serving and sending throughout our community and the world, motivated by the love of Christ.
