Our English as a Second Language classes provide an outstanding ministry to Internationals in our community. ESL classes are offered at First Baptist Oviedo for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. A literacy class and citizenship class are also offered.
This ministry is Bible based; therefore Scriptures are used in the classroom with a devotional time during each session. Several of our students have become believers and others have grown in their relationships with Jesus Christ. Our ESLministry has many wonderful volunteers serving as teachers and support staff. The Director of this Ministry is Mrs. Elaine LaBalbo.
The classes meet on Tuesday evening from 7:00–9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 Noon. Classes meet in the Hangar.
