Upward Basketball is a ministry designed to use basketball to teach each child about SALVATION, CHARACTER, and SELF-ESTEEM as they learn the skills of the game of basketball.

Upward Basketball is for players age 4 by September 1 of that season through Grade 8. Many players participate from around the community. You can learn more about Upward Sports at Upward.org.

Here at First Baptist Oviedo, Upward Basketball co-ed teams are formed for Pre-K through Grade 1. Girls teams and boys teams are formed for Grade 2 through Grade 5 players. Pre-K teams practice directly before each of their games. Kindergarten through Grade 5 teams have one practice during the week, typically a Tuesday or Thursday, and a game each Saturday. Teams for grades 6-8 will practice Fridays. The season will include 6-8 games as the schedule permits. All practices and games will be in the Christian Life Center gym here on campus.
