We're looking forward to having Jerry Hamilton, from the Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center in Orlando, join us for our April luncheon. Mr. Hamilton will provide us with essential information on both Alzheimer's disease and dementia. This presentation will benefit us as caregivers, friends and family members of loved ones with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. We'll learn how to handle the daily interactions and challenges. Even if you are not in this situation now, you never know when this information will be valuable in the future.
We will also hear about new ways we can prevent or delay dementia with specific actions that we can take as we are aging.
Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to learn something new!

Witness the beauty and grace of these magnificent horses as we view a training session in Myakka City. These fabulous white lipizzans perform the rare and beautiful "Airs Above the Ground" as seen in Walt Disney’s “Miracle of the White Stallions”.
The Royal Lipizzans are unquestionably the rarest, most aristocratic breed of horses in the world. They were originally bred in the 16th century for the exclusive use of the Hapsburg Royal family of Austria. These horses are the descendants of the horses saved by General George Patton from the Russian advance during World War II. If you have never seen these horses perform, you will be amazed by their spectacular leaps.
Stadium seating is provided, but you might want to bring a folding stadium seat to be more comfortable. We will stop at Peaches in Ellenton around 12:30 p.m. for lunch. This diner offers a variety of soups, salads, wraps and sandwiches at moderate prices. We will depart Myakka City at 4:00 p.m. and arrive back at the church around 6:30 p.m.
