Many of you will remember that in April ‘09, the program for our monthly luncheon consisted of an excellent presentation concerning the Passover Seder meal. That informative and entertaining discussion of the Christian and Jewish meaning of the Seder activities was given by Bracha Buford, a Messianic Jew who works with For Zion’s Sake Ministries. If you liked Bracha’s Seder presentation, wait until you see what is planned for this April as we have the opportunity to participate in a full Seder meal, right here at our church. Bracha is coming to lead and teach us by presenting and explaining this traditional Jewish meal. All major components of the Seder will be served and explained during the meal. By actually participating in eating this meal, we will obtain a new understanding and appreciation for its spiritual meaning for both Christians and Jews. Senior Adult Trip to Barberville

On “tax day” (April 15th) this year, we will enjoy an outing to the Pioneer Settlement for the Creative Arts in Barberville, Florida. This historical settlement village is “nestled within a charming, moss-draped oak hammock in western Volusia County.” As part of our outing, we will take a 90-minute-guided tour of the structures within the village, experience the life in rural Florida in the late 19th century and- early 20th century, shop in the country store, and enjoy the exhibits and pleasant surroundings of the settlement. Please pack your own bag lunch for this trip; we will stop and eat on the grounds of the settlement. This should be a very relaxing and pleasant outing for all.

Parent/Child Dedication will be held on Sunday, May 9, during the morning worship services in the Worship Center. This is a special time for parents to commit themselves to raising their child in a Christian home. At least one parent must be a member of the church in order to participate.

A required parent meeting will be held Sunday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.

MOPS is a non-denominational, international ministry that supports & encourages mothers who have babies thru Kindergartners. Our monthly meeting is a great time of fellowship & learning which allows you to develop relationships with other women in this same walk of life.

Meets in room F112 in the Christian Life Center.

Cost is $23.95 is the registration fee plus $4 a month for dues.

Please note that because of spring break MOPS will be held on the third Thursday of the month.

Join us as we hear from our PreK thru 5th Grade Kidz Praise choirs. They will present some awesome worship songs from Lifeway’s “Strong Tower – Knowing My King.” After a short intermission with refreshments in the Atrium, AWANA will host their annual awards night with each child receiving recognition for their efforts this year.
