Sundays 2:30-4:00 p.m.
e-Core is our 8th Grade Leadership Team. This is a “potential” fourth step in our ministry process that we offer only to 8th Graders. This special group is led deeper into God’s Word and helps to lead and run our three-step ministry process (Emerge on Wednesday nights, Small Groups on Sunday mornings, and e-Teams on Sunday afternoons).
What are the goals of e-Core?
1. To challenge students to personally improve their walk with God, in relation to being a leader for His cause.
2. To challenge students to improve the ministry environments that they are involved in.
Emerge worship: prayer time, focus on God during worship, relationship building with new and regular attendees, help with set up and clean up
Small group: be a contributor in class, be an example in spiritual disciplines
e-Teams: participate and be a contributor in weekly service
Leadership: complete reading assignments, participate in class, work towards unity within the leadership team, be a contributor in ministry environments (lead a Bible study, be available for testimonies during large group time at Emerge, Small Groups, and/or eTeams, blog, etc.), participate in Leadership Month…May…(Emerge service, teach Small Groups)
How will we accomplish our purpose?
1. Work through a spiritual growth curriculum with an emphasis on leadership.
2. Take a look at a real life leadership lesson.
3. Complete a team building exercise specific to current lesson learned.
Who can join?
Any 8th grader can apply to be in e-Core. We are looking for students who try their best to attend all three ministry environments weekly and can attend the bi-monthly meetings. The Emerge Adult Leadership team is involved in the selection process.
When/where do they meet?
e-Core meets bimonthly after e-Teams on the church campus in room F205, Christian Life Center.
