What's Your Status?

Series Summary

According to the latest studies, 1 in 12 people in the entire world has a Facebook account! The concept of Facebook centers around two main ideas. First, it gives people a platform from which to share. Second, it gives people a community to which they can share. Our daily news feeds are filled with the status updates of the people around us. 1 Timothy 4:12 tells students today, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." What's your status? How are you doing in these five areas? Join us over the next five weeks as we take a deeper look into how we can not only be the church of tomorrow, but set the example for the church today!

Week 1 - Speech Elevate - Sermon Icons - Download(download)

9/21 - James 3
Speaker: Chad Moore
Week One Devotional

History shows us that words have tremendous power. Everything from revolutions, to marriage, to the creation of the world are sparked by words. They can just as easily start something negative as they can something positive; so we must focus on the purpose, potential, and power of our words in order to set an example in speech.

Week 2 - Life Elevate - Sermon Icons - Download(download)

9/28 - Mt 6:21; Luke 14:33
SPEAKER: Jon Kragel
WEEK TWO DEVOTIONAL

Everyone values something or something. What we value determines how we live. The reverse of that last statement is also true. How we live demonstrates what we value. Listen to the message by Jon Kragel to learn the importance of valuing God and valuing ourselves. What do you value? Better yet, what does your life show that you value?

Week 3 - Love Elevate - Sermon Icons - Download(download)

10/12 - John 13:34-35
SPEAKER: Chad Moore
WEEK Three DEVOTIONAL

In John 13:34-35, Jesus says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Not only are we supposed to be nice to each other, but we are supposed to love one another in such a way that it shows people that we are Christians. Three main ways to accomplish this is through forgiving, serving and encouraging.

Week 4 - Faith Elevate - Sermon Icons - Download(download)

10/19 - 1 Peter 1:3-9
SPEAKER: Jon Kragel
WEEK Four DEVOTIONAL

What's the difference between a response and a reaction? While a reaction lasts only a moment, a response can last up to a life time. As Christians, we're called to set an example in our faith, by responding to the promises of God! It's been said, "Faith alone saves, but faith that saves is never alone." Listen as Jon challenges us to respond in faith through our future, our trials, our worship, and our joy!

Week 5 - Purity Elevate - Sermon Icons - Download(download)

10/19 - 1 PETER 1:13-25
SPEAKER: JON KRAGEL

Do you know the most commonly mentioned attribute of God? Love? Nope. Grace? Nope. Holiness is the most commonly used term to describe God. Holiness can be defined as "being set apart, blameless, and pure." So in a sense, purity is the most commonly discussed topic in all of Scripture. Listen to this powerful message as Jon talks gut-level honest about how the Bible relates topics of sex and purity.
